The Ann Arbor Chapter is located in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan. It has approximately 200 members and consistently places high in national standings in the annual Stephenson Trophy competition for large chapters, in recognition of it's services to members. This chapter has monthly meetings, offering 2 hours of CPE for its members and guests.

The Detroit Metro Chapter serves IMA members of Wayne, Macomb, and Oakland Counties. This chapter has about 700 members. and is the largest IMA chapter in Michigan. The chapter has monthly meetings, offering 2 hours of CPE for its members and guests.

The Grand Rapids Chapter has over 600 members, and serves West Michigan, Lakeshore and Northern Michigan. The chapter holds technical meetings the third Tuesday of the month (September through May) and also sponsors training and networking opportunities, and special events, such as a golf outing. The Grand Rapids Chapter co-sponsors, with the Kalamazoo Chapter, an annual Spring Seminar, offering 8 hours of CPE.

The Kalamazoo Chapter has about 150 members. The chapter provides monthly educational meetings from September to April and offers different venues and formats to provide educational opportunities for members and guests. In December, the chapter hosts its own 8 hour seminar, and in April co-sponsors an all-day seminar, with the Grand Rapids Chapter, offering 8 hours of CPE.

The Lansing-Jackson Chapter has over 100 members, and serves the greater Lansing-Jackson area. This chapter meets quarterly, and provides CPE at it's meetings.

The Michiana Chapter is located in Northwest Indiana and serves the South Bend area. It has about 100 members. The chapter holds monthly technical meetings from September through May. The Michiana Chapter joined the Michigan Council in June 2008.

The Saginaw Valley Chapter services the area from Mt. Pleasant to Flint and has 120 members, including corporate finance personnel, students, educators and retired business people. It also supports the surrounding college accounting programs from CMU, Delta, NU, SVSU, and U of M-Flint. The chapter holds periodic technical meetings between September and April.

The Upper Peninsula Chapter is located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and serves IMA members in the UP. It's a small but dynamic chapter of about 40 members. Last year, this chapter won a banner for 16th place in the Warner Trophy competition for small chapters, in recognition of it's services to members.
