The Grand Rapids Chapters of the Institute of Internal Auditor's and the Institute of Management Accountants are again co-hosting a "Student Night" event on Thursday, February 9th beginning at 4:30pm at the University Club in downtown Grand Rapids.

 

The prime theme of the event is to give accounting students at the seven local Colleges & Universities an opportunity to network with representatives from West Michigan companies and members of the Grand Rapids IIA and IMA Chapters.  The networking portion of the event runs from 4:30pm-6:00pm.

We have space available for additional tables at the event, so please contact Todd Hanson (616-896-1525) if your company or organization is interested in having a table at the event.

Following the networking portion of the event, we will again award the $1,000 Fred Rugg Scholarship based upon an essay competition. The event will conclude with an overview of the IIA and IMA professional organizations and a panel discussion with IIA and IMA members.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of 18 West Michigan companies and organizations who have once again donated over $3,000 to cover the costs of the facility, food, and the $1,000 Fred Rugg Scholarship.  The donations also allow the event to be "free of charge" to the students.
