using independent contractors,
professional consultants, and virtual
teams as an alternative to one employee/one job. Beth Kelly is a
business consultant who specializes in implementing HR processes and systems
that attract and inspire the best talent for work groups and organizations. Her
company, Connexsource, supports clients who want to use creative strategies to
implement state of the art talent systems. Beth will share experiences she's
gained in her 25 years of working on both sides of flexible work arrangements as
she helps us navigate the new world of work.
Beth Kelly is
a Partner and Co-Founder of Connexsource, a business consulting firm
specializing in human resources, performance management, and business/community
collaborations. She has over 26 years experience as a senior
executive in Human Resources. She specializes in creating systems, processes
and environments that allow small to medium size businesses become employers of
choice in their communities and industries.
Beth's work ranges
from project assignments to interim executive roles. She is often
asked to create or document newly developed human resource policies or
processes. Beth has created hundreds of job descriptions, many
employee handbooks, and several compensation systems. In addition,
Beth is often asked to conduct human resource assessments and recommend
improvements in staff and organizational structures. She is an experienced
facilitator who has helped several groups resolve conflicts and operational
difficulties within their teams. Beth is a certified Myers-Briggs trainer and
often incorporates this proven tool as part of her assessment.
Beth is active
in her profession and her community. She is a member of the Society for Human
Resource Management, and has been an officer of the local chapter of this
organization. She is a graduate of the Leadership Grand Rapids program and has
previously served on many community boards. Currently Beth is
the Chair of the Board of Directors for Women's Resource Center, a Grand Rapids
based non-profit organization that works to improve women's workplace and
economic opportunities.
Beth has taught human resource
management classes at Calvin College and Davenport University.
She received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology and
Communications from the University of Michigan and her Masters of Labor and
Industrial Relations Degree from Michigan State University. She
also is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources by the Society for
Human Resource Management.
