Welcome to the Kalamazoo Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA). Our website contains information designed to educate, inform and enhance the value of your IMA membership. Of course, the best way to achieve maximum benefit in your membership is to participate in the Chapter activities, details of which are now being planned for the 2008-2009 Chapter year.
Educational Meetings – We provide monthly educational meetings from September to April and are always eager to offer different venues and formats to provide educational opportunities to our members. If you have ideas for speakers, topics or alternative formats, please contact me or another Board member.
Communications – We intend to publish one newsletter every other month to our members and the newsletter will also be posted on this website. The newsletter will include details of upcoming meetings and activities, as well as a variety of news and other information.
Certification – The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is becoming the recognized professional designation for accountants in management and finance and the Chapter is available to provide information regarding the certification program and resources available to you to become certified.
Membership – We are always looking for individuals that may benefit from membership in the IMA. Professionals that are currently in public accounting, corporate management, educational instructors, students, or independent consultants can find cost effective educational opportunities, networking and other benefits through membership in the local chapter of IMA. For member applications and other membership information, please contact Karyn Walker, VP of Membership or any other Board member.
In order for our Chapter to offer the best service to our members, we need your support, participation, attendance, ideas and suggestions on how we can serve you better. If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me, one of the Vice Presidents, or any of the Directors identified by function in the Board of Directors listing.
I look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings and I welcome your ideas and feedback.
