George W. Mullins, Jr., Internal Audit Manager, Kellogg Company
Mr. Mullins has over twenty years experience in audits, internal and white collar fraud investigations, forensics and litigation support. Other experience includes valuations and business interruption through first and third party individual and commercial insurance claims, and teaching at the University of Alabama, in Birmingham. He obtained a Master of Business Administration degree, with a focus on accounting/finance from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, from the University of Memphis, Memphis.
MARCH DINNER PRESENTATION“County Grant Programs, and Their Related Budget Impact on Taxpayers” Linda Buzas, MPA, Director, Health Office, Kalamazoo County Health and Community Services
In her position as Director of the Health Office, Linda is responsible for the strategic leadership, management and overall performance of public health programs including epidemiology, community health programs, bioterrorism and public health emergency preparedness and response. She also supervises public information office/communications (media relations, hotline, website), occupational safety and health, and the Regional Public Health Laboratory which provides clinical and environmental testing for 11 counties. She provides oversight for department’s facility related operations, formulation and implementation of policy; budget and fiscal management; program evaluation; supervision and leadership for interdisciplinary professional and support staff; liaison with community groups, local, state, and federal agencies. In addition Linda must meet and deal effectively with Board of Commissioners and County Administration plus provide support and guidance within her areas of expertise as a key member of the ten person senior management team reporting directly to the Health Officer. Linda received her M.P.A.in Health Administration from Western Michigan University in 1996.
